Mutya Mother-Of-Pearl Stud Earrings

Mutya is a Tagalog word meaning amulet, charm, a pearl, jewel, or gem. It is often used to describe that which is rare and beautiful, but also something cherished and loved. 

The Mother-Of-Pearl is exactly that. It is an irridescent layer found inside the shells of mollusks, primarily from the Pinctada maxima  (South Sea pearl oyster) found in Philippine seas like Palawan.
